Connect to target Office 365 server
EdbMails connects to the target Office 365 server by using modern authentication protocols such as MSAL (Microsoft Authentication Library), OAuth 2.0, and TLS encryption. The authentication process is performed at the Microsoft Sign-In page, so that your sensitive login credentials are never stored within EdbMails during the entire migration process to ensure high security. MSAL (Microsoft Authentication Library), OAuth 2.0, and TLS encryption help to enable secure and safe access.
In the EdbMails ‘Connect to Office 365 (Destination)’ window, you have the below options to connect to your target Office 365 server:
Auto Registration
EdbMails automatically manages the application registration process within your Entra ID (Azure Active Directory). The ‘Auto Registration’ method requires Global Admin access.
Manual Registration
To register the EdbMails migration application manually in your Entra ID (Azure AD), choose the manual registration option and click on ‘Next’ Global Admin account or any user account with all the access privileges can be used in the Manual Registration method.
