Automatically create Microsoft 365 mailboxes
Microsoft 365 migration can be a complex and time-consuming process, especially when it involves manually creating mailboxes for each user before the migration. EdbMails simplifies Office 365 migration with its automatic mailbox creation feature, ensuring a smooth and efficient setup prior to migration. With EdbMails, you can automatically set up new mailboxes on the target server and assign licenses to users, reducing manual effort and the risk of errors. Steps to create mailboxes automatically
- Select the option ‘Automatically create mailboxes on my target server and map source mailboxes accordingly’ in the mapping window.
- Click the ‘Export Source Mailbox Details to CSV File’ button to export the source mailbox details
Click the ‘Export Mailbox Details to .CSV File’ to automatically export source mailbox details to .CSV file and select the location to store .CSV file on your computer.
- Edit the details such as Display Name, Alias, UPN, Password in the SourceMailboxes.csv file
- Click the ‘Create Mailboxes on the Target Server’ button and load the modified csv
- Select the list of mailboxes you want to create and click the ‘Continue’ button
- Select the required licenses you want to assign to the newly created mailboxes.
- A message will appear once the mailboxes are created successfully. Click ‘Proceed with the migration’
The newly created mailboxes may take a few minutes to become available for mapping. Re-try the operation some time or click the link in the mapping window to reload the mailboxes.
