Recover Deleted Mailbox

Deleted mailboxes are retained in the server database until it is permanently deleted by an Exchange administrator or until its retention period expires. Deleted Mailbox content can be recovered using EdbMails application.

Steps to recover deleted mailboxes

  • Download and install the EdbMails Recovery Software.

  • Select the EDB file which contains the deleted mailboxes

    Select EDB file

  • Click the 'Show All the folders' check box which is present above the Tree view as shown below

    Recover the deleted items Exchange EDB file

    Expand the mailbox and navigate to 'Recoverable Items' Folder as shown

    Click the 'Deletions' folder to view the deleted mails.

  • Click the ‘Export to Outlook PST’.

    Export Selected Mailboxes

  • Set the Action to ‘Export’ and click the ‘Continue’ button

  • Select the location to store the PST file and Click ‘OK’

  • Perform the Export operation.
  • Finally restore the deleted mailboxes to Exchange server using the recovered PST file.
